A classic Indian style collection of Sheesham furniture imported from Churia, Rajasthan in Northern India. This hand- finished collection of living and dining room furniture is constructed from light-coloured Sheesham sapwood with its characteristically rich grain and golden brown colouring. The Maharaja Geometric collection has geometric corners and joints complimented by hand carved wooden or sleek gun metal handles.
As with all hand crafted, solid timber furniture, sizes and colours can vary slightly, and some movement should be allowed for.
Trees are nearly 50% carbon. During the growth processes, trees remove or sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, convert it to carbon-based tissues during photosynthesis, release oxygen as a by-product and the carbon then remains tied up in the tree tissue until they die or are harvested. Hence trees are long-term storehouses of carbon - or carbon sinks. When harvested and converted into long-lasting wood products, they continue to store that locked-up carbon.
